The Yale-New Haven Medical Center Program participates in the National Residency Matching Program, and does not accept any applicants outside of the match.
The preliminary training we offer with the residency training program is integrated into the core mission of our Department and provides outstanding clinical training to prepare graduates for their subsequent PGY2 specialty training.
We offer four preliminary interview days.
We do not offer private interviews outside our scheduled preliminary interview days. We do coordinate presentations and group interviews with the Yale Anesthesiology and Yale Neurology Departments on the day of an applicants’ interview with these Departments. Students who participate in these presentations and group interviews are not required to participate in a separate Department of Internal Medicine Interview day. We do require students participating in these group presentations and interviews to submit an ERAS application to our preliminary program.
Applications for a preliminary position will only be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). We do not accept applications via FAX, email or postal services.
